Based on sales forecasts from numerous industry sources, Bey could sell more than 250,000 copies of Beyonce by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, December 29.
Beyonce released her fifth solo studio album unexpectedly on December 13. The singer’s new project includes collaborations with her husband, Jay Z, and their daughter, Blue Ivy, among others, including Drake, Frank Ocean and Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche. It also includes videos to accompany all songs. Within the album’s first 10 days of its release, the album sold 991,000 copies.
If Beyonce attains the top spot for a third week in a row, it will be the diva’s longest-reigning chart-topping album. All five of her studio albums have reached #1 at some point during their release.
