IL Duce

The name of the artist is unique and so is the music. And both are destined for great things in the world of Hip Hop. Rashad Davis, better known by his stage name, "IL Duce” is an Atlanta-based Hip Hop Emcee that is taking the underground music scene by storm!

IL Duce, a moniker reapplied from historical Italian Prime Minister Benito Mussolini means “The Leader”…and that’s exactly what IL Duce plans to become in the world of hip hop!

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, IL Duce began rapping at the age of 15 at a talent showcase, performing a remix of Da Entourage’s hit “Bunny Hop”. After receiving an immense crowd response, IL Duce knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

A straight “spitta”, IL Duce describes himself as a lyricist with a southern melodic flow, creating meaningful, entertaining, ecstatic, and energetic rhymes that complement any track. Citing influences such as 2Pac and the Hot Boyz, his exceptional wit, wordplay, punch lines, metaphors and mad flow have placed him in the works with a number of record labels including C Murder's Tru Records/Deadly Soundz, Real Talk Productions and Presidential Records to name a few.

Why did they turn against their leader, Benito Musolini, and might the same have ever happened to Adolph Hitler, had he not commited suicide in his Berlin bunker ?

Does anyone know the name of the song from the movie The Boondock Saints, where the brothers and Rocco get into a shoot out with Il duce (their father), as well as the music right after that when they use an iron to cauterize their wounds?

If anyone also knows where I can find this music, I’d really appreciate it!

Of course I mean the “old” Ambrosiana jersey, which was worn during the Fascist era. Mussolini wasn’t too fond of the name and colors of “Internazionale,” as you might imagine, and the club changed both to accomodate Il Duce. So, do you think this is an insult to those who fought fascism, and lost their lives, especially to the memory of the partigiani from within Italy?

She was in the scene where Yakavetta was shot by Connor and the others. She was told to look up by Il Duce, and upon exiting the court house, was asked if she was there. Does anyone know who she is, both in real life, and in the movie (name, relation to anyone)?
She is in the end of Boondock Saints 1. I guess her hair could be called brown (My comp. screen kind of sucks). I have not seen number 2, so i couldent say if she does appear there.

My friend keeps bragging about he knows The Boondock Saints prayer by heart and how he is The Boondock Saints ultimate fan. So me, knowing both prayers by heart, told him to say it with me to piss off my law teacher(who despises vigilantes). And he got it wrong. He took out the middle verse and replaced it with the first verse of Il Duce’s prayer. To me an obvious mistake and thought he was joking. He wasn’t i became pissed off. Was i justified?

Sometimes movies are better when you watch them out of context…

Like watching “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” as a horror movie, or “National Treasure” as a comedy (for some reason this can apply to many Nicholas Cage films), or seeing the movie “Mirrors” and imagining that everything’s actually happening to Kiefer Sutherland (instead of the character he’s playing)… What are the best movies to watch like this?

Mussolini wasn’t too fond of the name and colors of “Internazionale,” as you might imagine, and the club changed both to accomodate Il Duce. So, do you think this is an insult to those who fought fascism, and lost their lives, especially to the memory of the partigiani from within Italy?

I try not to gossip as much as possible. But sometimes that really restricts what I feel comfortable saying to other people, ABOUT other people. Sometimes when my friend’s talk to me they are telling me the bad/rude things their family/other friends have done or said, and I feel like they are gossiping. But is it really gossiping or are they just telling me about what’s happening in their lives, or just needing to vent a little anger?

So how can I know the difference between just chatting or venting, and someone who is gossiping? Where is the line drawn?

I want to spruce up my ipod but need ideas for songs. I like everything from top 40 to some oldies. I would like to add some songs I hear in 90210 and Gossip Girl. Also any new songs on current rock stations. Just newish trendy songs from poular artists to not so popular. I do not want screamo or harcore rap. But some stuff from Lil Wayne is still good. Thanks!

You know in our societies, gossip is the nature of many people. It’s always easy to slip into gossip while we all know it’s bad and forbidden in Islam too. The most difficult that some people start talking about others as soon as they talk about anything, and they push you to reply or to make a response. In many cases we talk then we remember [I mean the people who cares to do the right thing]

Any advices to keep away from gossip without embarrassing others ?

I find that prayer chains that are used by churches are just gossip carriers for the members. I have seen them used that way since I was a kid some 40+ years ago. They have even been known to destroy lives, reputations and marriages with all the gossip they spread. How can Christans justify this?

I work with mostly women so naturally there’s a lot of gossiping etc Anyway, there’s one woman that can’t keep anything to herself and you could be chatting to her and without realizing what you’ve just said she’ll twist your words then spread gossip. I mean, I can’t just not speak to them but at the same time I don’t want to get involved in the petty drama that goes on.

How can I avoid contributing to the conversation when they’re gossiping without coming across as rude or quiet?

I’m really confused in the difference between venting to your friends and confidants about events and people and gossip. Aren’t they somewhat the same? When can this be considered negative?

There seems to be a fine line between communicating a situation and your feelings versus gossip. Does it involve the person’s intent or beliefs? Do negative concerns make it gossip? What do you think differentiates the two?
Does the person you are talking to (teacher, supervisor, friend, family) influence whether it is gossip or not?

How would you react if there was a Gossip Girl website for your school?

I’m not sure how I would. It probably wouldn’t bother me, as there’s rarely any gossip about me. However, there was one scandal last year involving me that would have definitely been on GG, if we had one.

Whats a good thing and bad thing about creating an anonymous school gossip page?
Me and some friends were thinking about starting a school gossip page on MySpace. Nothing is official yet but we wanted to know if anything bad might come from it. Like other than the risk of people finding out it was us. Also do you have any tips on how to set it up? I appreciate all tips so thanks.

Sad to say, Gossip Girl is coming to an end. Everyone is leaving for college, so what do you think will happen next season? There are a lot of books that lead off from the series. There’s the It Girl series and the Carlyles version of Gossip Girl, or do you think the writers will make everyone stay for a few more seasons?

Is Obama telling America to look ” FORWARD ” because he knows that if America looks backward over the past 3 + years they will see just how terrible Obama’s record really is ?

Is this why Obama is running away from his record instead of running on his record ?

The Nazi leaders were put on trial as well as various members of the SS who ran and organised the Death camps. Does anyone know if there were similar war crime trials for the Japanese and Italians. I have never been able to find this information.

I am forced to surround myself with people who constantly gossip and are two faced. These people are gossiping to me and i always try my best never to engage in it but it’s becoming very difficult.

What does Buddhism teach about gossiping and how to handle people like this?
I am forced as it is my classmates in college. I have to interact with them on a daily basis and i do not want to isolate myself from them.

I really hate girls who like to gossip about others, it pisses me off. Especially how some girls go to one side as soon as u come into the room and they talk with hushed voices with their hands over their mouths, turned sideways from you and with side glances at you. I also hate working in workplaces where employees gossip and say bad stuff about other people and they expect you to join in their gossip otherwise you are bullied by them. I just hate it. Why do those girls do it. I just wanna punch them in the face it makes me feel so mad. It happens to me and even my parents. Does anyone else feel the same way and how do you deal with it. I find ignoring them doesnt work, i can still hear what they are saying, it makes me mad.

Every Monday I look forward to watching Gossip Girl but they have been playing repeats for about a month now. A spoiler said that they would start airing new episodes March 2 or March 9, but today is March 9 and it was still an old episode. Does anyone know the reason why new Gossip Girl episodes have not been airing?
